Lake Victoria which is the largest lake in East Africa and near me here in my community, Jinja city , Uganda

The goal is to protect and improve the water quality of lakes to support aquatic life and human use. And the objective is to reduce nutrient pollution in lakes by 20% over the next 5 years through implementation of the best management practices in agriculture and water treatment.

Hosting workshops, clean up events and educational programs to engage local communities in lake conservation efforts.

Increased community engagement, enhanced biodiversity and I proved water quality which leads to the increase of community based businesses like boating and fishing due to a healthy lake.

I believe and have hope that if I have government support, organizations like ILEC and Aquavox, and also communities’ lake water conservation will be made a priority therefore improved water quality.
