ILEC organized the first National ILBM Workshop in collaboration with Chilika Development Authority, India. Nearly two-hundred participants from all parts of India and Asia, and Africa exchanged productive discussions on the issues and challenges of lake basin management. The three-day workshop was concluded with a field trip to Lake Chilika, the Ramsar Site. (February 5-7, 2013) In succession, ILEC co-organized the ILBM Heartware International Expert Group Meeting with Chilika Development Authority, India, inviting speakers from Nepal, Bangladesh, Philippines, and Kenya. The ILEC delegation presented on the latest ILBM projects. (February 8-9, 2013)
