On March 6, 2026, we conducted a follow-up session via Zoom for the JICA Training Program held in fiscal year 2024.

Out of the four participants, three joined the session from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and El Salvador.

During the session, participants shared updates on the progress of their post-training action plans and recent developments. This was followed by an active discussion with Dr. Nakamura, the Science Advisor and course leader for this training.

Some participants had experienced changes in their target regions or thematic areas, while others had taken on expanded responsibilities due to promotions. Nevertheless, all participants are actively applying the principles of ILBM (Integrated Lake Basin Management), which they learned during the training, in their respective countries.

It was inspiring to see how the knowledge gained from the program is being used as a foundation for ongoing initiatives.
