With the Student Conference as a part of WLC17 approaching next month, the final preparatory workshop was held this month.
The ambassadors visited Yanamune river, one of the inflows to Lake Biwa, in Yasu City. They watched gill net fishing and listened to a talk by a fisherman about the change of fishing and environment of the river and the lake. They also enjoyed the traditional cuisine of fishermen. They learned that the conservation of the lake environment is important to keep the traditional cuisine and the beauty of the lake.
After that, they prepared the presentation material for the Student Conference, and discussed the strategy for effective presentation.
