The Organizing Committee of the 18th World Lake Conference has decided to hold the conference virtually on November 9, 10 and 11, 2021, in order to prioritize the health of the participants in the face of uncertainty regarding the status of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During this event you will be able to share in the opinions of the world community concerned about the conservation of lakes, their basins and their ecosystem services, and to contribute to and promote best practices and the integrated management of lakes in order to address the challenges we face in the immediate future.
WLC18 will be a virtual conference where you will be able to submit and present the results of your work in technical sessions, present posters, participate in keynote lectures and interact with colleagues from around the world.
The technical sessions are planned as pre-recorded talks with live Q&A sessions via Chat. The poster sessions also will allow for short introductory videos as well as Q&A.
The registration fees have been reduced and adapted to being accessible to all the interested public and to ensure they are not an impediment to participation.
